We will be looking for new catering assistants starting dates from 29th April 2008. Duties will include serving customers, operating the till and helping to clean down after service.
You must be willing to travel around the country always weekends, sometimes longer. Transport can be provided from Hereford, Cheltenham or Gloucester. We also pay travel expenses if you don't live locally.
We provide all food and drink and your uniform and can also supply tents, sleeping bags, torches, tents etc. should you need it. Wages start at £6 per hour and may rise depending on your ability and performance.
To be fair this job is not for everyone - it often involves long hours - typically 10 - 12 hours per day, sometimes longer! It is physically and mentally tiring being on your feet all day and you must put up with sleeping in a tent, the lack of hot showers, peeling onions and very loud music.
On the plus side you get free tickets to some of the best festivals of the year, free food, drink and live entertainment during your breaks and off periods and get to work within a fun, lively team. The crew often get to meet hungry performers at the counter, get backstage passes, invited to aftershow parties etc.
